I just got off the phone with a potential guests, and he was going on about how much of a better deal it is to get a vacation home as it is to rent a hotel room. He asked me why?

The simple answer is that there are nearly as many vacation homes in Orlando as there are hotels rooms, and while hotels have major national chains such as Holiday Inn and Sheraton help fill them up, the vacation home owners do not have such a luxury. Now most of the vacation home owners are big Disney fans, and they use their property three or four times a year. The rest of the time they allow us to rent them out. Their hopes are to have their home cover most of their monthly bills for them.

So why are the vacation homes just now gaining in popularity? Simple, there are not many vacation destinations in America where you can rent a vacation homes. For example, if you wanted to go on vacation to New York, you probably would not find too many vacation rentals at a reasonable price. Another point, we as Americans usually take vacations that range from 3 days to 7 days so most families have just become accustom to cramping in a hotel room and dealing with it for the short amount of time.

The homes are much more spacious than a hotel room, offer a lot more privacy, and they all come with a fully functional kitchen. Oh did I also mention the nightly prices for one of these vacation home is about the same as most three star Orlando hotels.
