Unique Advice on Selecting an Orlando Vacation Home
Deciding where to search for an Orlando vacation home is without a doubt a difficult task. Almost everyone travelled to Disney World at some point in time and is likely to offer their personal advice. The internet is also scattered with articles similar to these aimed at helping travelers find the best deals. However, this post is intended to put a slightly different spin on these run of the mill advice columns and provide you with some two items many people overlook when selecting an Orlando vacation home to stay when visiting. Cleanliness is one of the most important factors to consider when picking a home. While many people might disagree with this at first, have faith that this is valuable advice. I’ve heard horror stories of individuals that rented a home all set and ready to enjoy their stays in Orlando only to walk into a nightmare. Upon entering the vacation home they find it completely trashed and never cleaned from the last guests that stayed there. This is often more commonplace with individuals who rent vacation homes on their own without the help of a booking agency. Therefore, one of the first questions I would ask or find out the answer to before booking a stay is, “How often is the home cleaned?” If the response is delayed, involves stuttering or is answered with “on a need be basis” then watch out! There are plenty of fun activities in Orlando. Do not let a dirty vacation home destroy that. Ensure there is a regular cleaning schedule so that you are able to enjoy your trip. The other consideration to keep in mind is proximity to the theme parks. Many people assume that a home is near the major theme parks simply because it is in Orlando Florida. However, Orlando is a large place and only a few of the savvier travelers know that Disney World is actually in Kissimmee Fl. Take the time to take a look at the map and find out how close the vacation home actually is to the major theme parks. Do not end up surprised by not doing a little research in advance!
Vacation Homes Near Disney World
September is a great month to rent a vacation home near Disney World. The weather is great and the Disney crowds are small. As a special incentive we are doing two (2) night vacation home bookings for both September and October.
Vacation Home or Resort Vacation Homes
I am often times I'm asked what is the difference between the Executive vacation homes near Disney World and the Encantada Resort. The answer is simple the vacation homes are within 8 miles to Disney World and they offer a little more privacy since they are single family homes. Most of these home are in gated communities and they all have their own swimming pools. The Encantada Resort is within 2 miles to Disney World and it offers the luxuries of a resort but the privacy and space of a vacation home. The homes at Encantada are acutally townhomes, so they are connected to other homes, but they are all at least 1800 square feet and they all have their own swimming pools. Plus, the clubhouse has two swimming pools, workout facilities, computer room, pool tables, game room, and a cocktail bar. All in all you can't go wrong with either choice; however, with all the extra activies that the Encantada offer I would have to stay their if I had to choose.

When is it a good deal on a vacation home?
Vacation homes are generally always a good deal, you are getting more square footage than a hotel for less per square foot. However, the best time to get a vacation home is if you are travelign with a large party. A 5 bedroom home sleeps 10 comfortably, and vacation home rentals go up to 6 or 7 bedrooms, so if you are in a large party then a vacation home is your best bet. A 7 bedroom can sleep up to 16!
When to rent a pool home in orlando
Everyone assumes that Florida is hot all year round. Well, even though we don't have 4 seasons, it is not pool weather all year round. From about December to March we get cold fronts whipping in from the north, and although it does not reach teeth chattering temperatures there are nights, and even days where the mercury can drop down into the 30's. But, other than the cold months, Florida of course has its infamous rainy season, and with the rain comes thunder and lightning, FLorida is of course the lightning capital of the world. August is the rainiest month (also the peak of hurricane season), and we all know water and electricity don't mix, so I would not recommend a pool home when it is known to be extremely rainy with thunder and lightning.
